Obviously it’s a lot cheaper to borrow from the library or rent or download, and I do, but I really love actually HAVING them. It’s the same logic as people who collect vinyl (which I do as well). Being able to say ‘my books’, owning a physical copy of words that changed how I thought, and needing a bookcase, it makes me feel very happy. In a materialistic way I guess.
